Exact date uncertain; there is, however, an inscription on the flyleaf reading "Xmas 1884." In any case, it's old. Hinges cracked & breaking off binding, a few loose pages at beginning of text block (none missing). Original flyleaf papers are present; front is loose & tucked inside. Binding old & cracked; pages foxed but readable. Heavy wear at edges & corners of cover boards; they're bound in brown buckram w/ some scratches & fraying at extremities. Spine breaking off from binding, lettering worn away. I'd say this is for collector's only. It does have a certain character but it needs some TLC.
